June 10-13, 2008: Climate Information for Managing Risks- Partnerships and Solutions for Agriculture and Natural Resources. St. Pete Beach, FL.  Agricultural and natural resource managers need climate information at the regional and local levels to address short- and long-term challenges posed by variable and changing climate.  Conference includes poster session (Abstracts due March 1 ), faciliated breakout discussions, and numerous plenary sessions.

June 24-26, 2008: 12th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference.  Washington, DC. The conference is organized each year by the American Chemical Society Green Chemistry Institute with the active involvement of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and other federal government agencies, industry, academia, and other professional societies.

July 23-24, 2008: Earth then, Earth Now, Our Changing Climate. NOAA Science Center, Silver Spring, MD. The purpose of this Educator Conference is to help educators instruct on climate change and learn to integrate the science of climate change into their classrooms. August 20-22, 2008Florida's Wildlife: On the Frontline of Climate Change.  Rosen PLAZA Orlando. November 16-19, 2008Behavior, Energy and Climate Change (BECC) Conference.  Sacramento, California.  The conference is focused on understanding the behavior and decision-making of individuals and organizations, and using that knowledge to help accelerate our transition to an energy-efficient and low-carbon economy. Online registration starts June 1. This year, because of the high level of interest and breadth of topics, the conference is expanding to 2 1/2 days of sessions, plus a not-to-be-missed conference kick-off program and reception. There will be a rich mix of invited speakers, panels, and networking opportunities PLUS presentations, posters, and roundtable topics selected from submitted abstracts. Proposals for presentations, posters and roundtables can be submitted online- proposal deadline May 27, 2008.

11/8/07-"Green Collar Jobs: Why Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency are Economic Powerhouses." Policymakers are considering how to tackle climate change and energy policy. The briefing showed that renewable energy and energy efficiency can offer the economic opportunity of the century - but only if we take advantage of this huge opportunity.

11/1/07- "A Target for U.S. Emissions Reductions." The Union of Concerned Scientitsts reports on suggested emissions reductions for the U.S.

11/1/07- "American Public Health Association."  APHA is committed to reducing the environmental impact of their company and finding ways to be a more environmentally responsible association in all areas. New information (including environmental resources) will be posted on this page.
