Be a mentor with NCSE's EnvironMentors Program
EnvironMentors is an environment-based mentoring program that helps prepare high school students for college degrees and careers in the environment. Our Washington DC chapter works with over 30 mentors each academic year.
Mentors work with their student protégés throughout the year to develop an environmental research project on a topic of the student's choosing. The student-mentor pair is supported by the DC Environmentors staff through a series of skills workshops and webinars, Student and Mentor Manual, and have opportunities to network with other students and mentors in the DC chapter as well as with the other 9 chapters nationwide through the online EnvironMentors Portal community.
Volunteer at NCSE National Conference
NCSE welcomes student volunteers at its annual National Conference on Science, Policy and the Environment. Volunteers assist with registration, room and AV set up, and note taking, while getting to experience this signature event that provides valuable educational and networking opportunities.
